Couple Named August Photographers of the Month

The Friends of Hagerman NWR have chosen two persons as Photographers of the Month for August, 2008. Michael and Grace Haight were reluctant to begin studying wildlife photography, but say a class on this topic changed their course of their photography forever. Pottsboro weekenders, the Haights have an album of their photos taken at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge featured on the Friends website during the month.
The Haights’ photography is done primarily from either a hunters blind or vehicle. In future, their goal is to not only capture the wildlife in the image, but to also capture some aspect of its behavior, to tell a story about the particular bird or animal.
Each month the Friends spotlight a new album of 12 photos taken at the Refuge on their website, www.friendsofhagerman.com. Interested photographers may contact the Friends through friendsofhagerman@gmail.com.
